Stopping by an endangered houseboat on a tour of Copenhagen's south harbor with Mikkel Hall Here's a close-up of that house boat — I wouldn't mind making it my pad There are about a dozen houseboats nearby this one in Copenhagen's harbor. According to Mikkel, recently the houseboats have come under threat as developers continue to devour all remaining harbor property Copenhagen's harbor used to be a polluted, industrial wasteland, but today it has been revitalized. Still, the south side of the harbor is nowhere near as vibrant as the north side. The south side is filled with unsightly, inefficient office buildings, a few so-so apartments, a tacky mall, a natural gas plant ... AND the houseboats! If development continues (which it will), these houseboats are a cticially endangered species Here are two more houseboats that seem like cool real estate Does it makes sense to live on a houseboat when the water is frozen?!
